LVADStrong is currently in the process of obtaining confirmation of our 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status. While we fully anticipate approval, we have not yet received official confirmation from the IRS. Until this determination is finalized, donations may not be tax-deductible.

According to IRS guidelines, if an organization files Form 1023 within 27 months from the end of the month in which it was legally formed, and the application is approved, the tax-exempt status is typically recognized retroactively to the date of formation. This means that contributions made during this period may become tax-deductible once the status is granted. irs.gov
